(5) Great
I read this book way back in Highschool, but I remember really enjoying it and not being able to put the book down.
(5) I'll Be The One To Say It
OK Fine, I'll be the first one to say it. Greatest book of all time.
There.
I've read this book probably 30 times cover to cover. Read all of Salinger's other books. Multiple times. Gotten ahold of the banned stories, the unpublished stories, etc etc. They are all amazing, but Catcher in the Rye is truly remarkable.
I read it originally in high school and it just spoke to me -- the search for innocence, all the hurt and lonliness and UGH! but still the hope.
If you haven't read this book yet, might as well try it out. It's short and a quick read. And you'll probably enjoy it.
