(5)   Great Book on Business

This book is the result of a multi-year study conducted by a research team on what it takes for a company to go from Good to Great.

Many other reviews talk about the main points of the book so I won't repeat them here.

I think this book is great because it provides a framework, derived from extensive research and analysis, for helping a company achieve greatness. The concepts presented are quite simple, yet very powerful.

One might think that there is a lot of extra effort in trying to go from Good to Great and wonder if it's even worth it.  In fact, if a company has developed the "Good-to-Great" characteristics, being "Great" requires less work than simply being "Good".

This book makes other books I've read on the topic of business success seem superficial.

If you are interested in understanding how businesses work, how they grow, and achieve success, then this is well worth your time.
